ANIA - Association Nationale des Industries Alimentaires

The French Food Industries Association (ANIA, Association Nationale des Industries Alimentaires) is the non-profit professional body of the French Food and Beverage Industries. Voice of the leading industrial sector in France, ANIA represents 10 000 enterprises (97% of which are SMEs) and 500 000 jobs. Since 1968, ANIA has been serving as the intermediary between the food industry and national and European institutions, other food chain actors, and the general public. Looking ahead to ensure the competitiveness and durability of the food industry through innovation, a Commission for Research has been active at the ANIA since 2006. ANIA is currently involved in a dozen European research projects of benefit to food companies and to the general public, in domains such as food safety, nutritional science, energy savings, eco-innovation, traditional foods and professional training.
